The Swedish Ministry of Employment meets EU-OSHA

A Swedish delegation, headed by the State Secretary for Work Environment, Mr. Mattias Landgren, is visiting EU-OSHA’s premises in Bilbao to share strategic approaches to improving workers’ safety and health and identify areas of mutual interest.

Our Interim Executive Director, William Cockburn, is taking Mr. Landgren and his team on a tour around EU-OSHA’s premises and introducing them to our different projects and campaigns, particularly the Healthy Workplaces Campaign for 2023/2025 – Safe and Healthy Work in the Digital Age.

The OSH Info System and OSH Barometer, the European Survey of Enterprises on New and Emerging Risks (ESENER), and the Workers’ Exposure Survey on Cancer Risk Factors are also some of EU-OSHA’s flagship projects presented during the day.

All these activities align with the European Commission’s Vision Zero approach to eliminating work-related deaths, accidents, and diseases.

This visit is an excellent opportunity to look for possible synergies and collaboration ideas between the Swedish Ministry of Employment and EU-OSHA with a view to Sweden’s EU Presidency in 2023.
