The Ministry of Economy launched the Investment Monitor, a digital platform that aims to disseminate information on investments and sustainability in the main sectors of the Brazilian economy.
According to the Minister of Economy, it will be possible to assess the pace of investment growth. He highlighted that Brazil is in a transitional phase – leaving a “public investment model that has run out” – and that the Investment Monitor will help to record this change.
“The great transition is already underway. We are going to record here what the private sector is also doing, regardless of privatizations”, he said, noting that the monitor already shows that R$ 860 billion has already been contracted in investments for the next ten years.
In its second phase, the Investment Monitor will show investments in human capital, education and technology. The platform was developed in partnership with the Inter-American Development Bank and was financed by the United Kingdom.
