The month of May marks European Diversity Month, so we take the opportunity to call on EU companies and organisations to shine some light on workforce diversity.
Workforce diversity refers to the heterogeneous composition of the workforce in terms of socio-demographic and physical characteristics of workers, including age, gender, national background, sexual orientation, and disability. All workers need to be protected equally from occupational safety and health risks. However, women, LGBTI, and migrant workers are usually more exposed to physical or psychosocial risks than the rest of the workforce.
Take a stand and join us in promoting diversity and inclusion at your workplace: share your company’s inclusion practices on social media using the #EUDiversityMonth hashtag.
Find out useful resources in our worker diversity priority area within the Healthy Workplaces Lighten the Load campaign, focused on the prevention of musculoskeletal disorders.
