The day marks the anniversary of the historic <a href=\"https:\/\/european-union.europa.eu\/principles-countries-history\/history-eu\/1945-59\/schuman-declaration-may-1950_en\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">declaration<\/a> of French foreign minister Robert Schuman in 1950, envisaging a Europe free from war and founded on the ideals of cooperation and sharing resources.<\/p>\n<p id=\"tmgmt-2\">We are currently witnessing a defining moment in modern European history and questions arise about whether Europe is exiting the era of the &#8220;Long Peace&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p id=\"tmgmt-3\">Today, EU-OSHA together with <a href=\"https:\/\/euagencies.eu\/\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">the EU agencies network<\/a> stand in <a href=\"https:\/\/ec.europa.eu\/info\/strategy\/priorities-2019-2024\/stronger-europe-world\/eu-solidarity-ukraine_en\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">solidarity with Ukraine<\/a> to call attention to peace as a motor for human rights, welfare and hope.
