{"id":1233,"date":"2022-06-13T19:58:08","date_gmt":"2022-06-13T19:58:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/quimicaambiental.org\/blog\/2022\/06\/13\/occupational-safety-and-health-becomes-one-of-ilos-fundamental-principles-and-rights-at-work\/"},"modified":"2022-06-13T19:58:08","modified_gmt":"2022-06-13T19:58:08","slug":"occupational-safety-and-health-becomes-one-of-ilos-fundamental-principles-and-rights-at-work","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/quimicaambiental.org\/?p=1233","title":{"rendered":"Occupational safety and health becomes one of ILO&#8217;s Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> [ad_1]<br \/>\n<\/p>\n<p><h2>\n  Occupational safety and health becomes one of ILO&#8217;s Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work<br \/>\n<\/h2>\n<\/p>\n<div>\n<p id=\"tmgmt-1\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ilo.org\/global\/lang--en\/index.htm\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">The International Labour Organization<\/a> (ILO) adopted a new resolution to include occupational safety and health (OSH) as one of their Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work during the 110th International Labour Conference (ILC).<\/p>\n<p id=\"tmgmt-2\">Until now, there were four categories of Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work by ILO:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"ckeditor-ul-padding\" id=\"tmgmt-3\">\n<li>Freedom of association and the effective recognition of the right to collective bargaining<\/li>\n<li>Elimination of all forms of forced or compulsory labour<\/li>\n<li>The effective abolition of child labour<\/li>\n<li>Elimination of discrimination in respect of employment and occupation<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p id=\"tmgmt-4\">After this new decision by the Delegates attending the ILC Conference, OSH becomes the fifth category.<\/p>\n<p id=\"tmgmt-5\">The ILO Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work, adopted in 1998, states that all these rights are universal and apply to people in all States &#8211; regardless of the level of economic development.
