More than 80% of aluminum ores in the country are extracted in Serra do Oriximin\u00e1 in the state of Par\u00e1, which has the highest mineral concentration in Brazil, followed by Minas Gerais.<\/p>\n<p>The annual production of ore is around 17.4 million tons. Brazil is the third largest producer globally. In 2021, Brazilian exports of bauxite and aluminum reached US$ 2.9 billion, about 2.5% of our total exports.<\/p>\n<p>Brazil is also proud to be a world leader in aluminum recycling.
