Lloyd\u2019s Register Foundation<\/a> requests expressions of interest from organisations to establish and run a global \u2018What Works Centre\u2019 and network focused on safety of life and property.<\/p>\n The \u2018What works\u2019 approach is based on the principle that good decision-making should be supported by good evidence. What works acknowledges that research evidence on its own isn\u2019t enough: you need to know how and why something works and how to implement that knowledge to maximize the impact. So one of the core components of a successful what works initiative is to have a \u2018what works\u2019 centre: an independent organisation to curate and mobilise a high-quality evidence base of research, data, and evaluations to help practitioners, policymakers and others to achieve their objectives.<\/p>\n Interested parties from across the world are invited to respond to this call with their vision for the centre and thoughts on how best to establish, run, and support it over the long term.<\/p>\n Expressions of interest should be sent to ruth.frankish@lrfoundation.org.uk<\/a><\/strong> by 16 May 2022<\/p>\n Two information sessions aimed to give more background and facilitate questions and discussion are organised via MS Teams:<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
